I am a Norwich-based graduate of the Games Art & Design course at Norwich University of the Arts (NUA).

During my degree my work has explored the potential present within digital games to offer meaningfully interactive narratives; to become not just a storytelling medium, but one which works collaboratively with players to create personal, unique adventures into richly-realised fictional worlds. I specialise in theoretical, written and visual design work.

I’ve a strong interest in politics, and I’ve been eager to embed this into my work. I’ve written for Storehouse, NUA’s official student publication, which I was in charge of as editor during 2014.

I also have several years of experience working with campaign groups, local businesses and established institutions, including NUA and the University of East Anglia (UEA), to provide graphic design solutions.

I aim to be a confident, professional, self-directed and highly motivated creative practitioner, capable of working within and across multiple fields.

I’m available for freelance work of all kinds; if you’d like to get in touch you can email me at alex@hortfrancis.com
